To keep things simple and secure, we only collect the essential information needed to provide our editing services and manage our working relationship. We do not take online payments or store bank details. The only data we collect and store is:
Identity Data: Your first and last name.
Contact Data: Your email address and phone number.
Transaction Data: Basic records of invoices sent to you and payments received from you. (Note: All payments are processed externally via BACS transfer. We do not collect or store your bank account or payment card details).
Media and Content Data: Raw video footage, audio recordings, images, and graphics provided by you for the editing project. This may include personal data or special category data captured naturally within the footage itself.
3. How Your Personal Data is Collected
We collect this data directly from you when you:
Enquire about or hire us for our video editing services (via email, phone, or messaging).
Transfer project files and video footage to us via file-sharing platforms (such as WeTransfer, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.).
4. How We Use Your Personal Data
Under UK GDPR, we only use your personal data when we have a lawful basis to do so. We use your data in the following ways:
Performance of a Contract: To communicate with you about your project, provide the video editing services we agreed upon, and send invoices.
Legitimate Interests: To display non-sensitive, approved finished videos in our professional portfolio (only ever done with your prior agreement).
Legal Obligation: To keep basic financial and transaction records to comply with HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) requirements.
5. Disclosures of Your Personal Data
We will never sell your personal data. We may only share your data with trusted third-party tools necessary to run our business operations:
Cloud Storage & File Transfer: Platforms used to securely receive and store your footage [e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox, WeTransfer].
Administrative Tools: Software used for invoicing or accounting
HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC): Regulators based in the UK who require reporting of processing activities in certain circumstances.
We require all third parties to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with UK data protection law.

We have put in place appropriate technical and organisational security measures to prevent your personal data and project footage from being accidentally lost, used, or accessed in an unauthorised way:
All our digital devices and cloud storage accounts are password-protected and secured with two-factor authentication (2FA) where available.
Raw project files and client media are accessed exclusively by the Provider.
7. Data Retention
We will only keep your personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for.
Client Media/Footage: Raw video footage and project files will be securely deleted 6 months after the final video has been delivered and approved, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Contact and Invoicing Data: By UK law, we must keep basic information about our clients (Names, Emails, and Invoice amounts) for six years for HMRC tax purposes.
8. Your Legal Rights
